Starting today, WAC is sending daily parcels of Stop Wage Theft postcards to Premier McGuinty, urging the Liberal government to Stop Wage Theft! As the postcard states: “We work hard, but too often we don’t get paid our wages. Employers are breaking the law every day. It’s a reality that many of us are not getting paid for the hours we work, are wrongly treated as independent contracts or are charged a fee before we are even hired. This is wage theft!”
WAC members and our union and community allies collected signed postcards from cities across Ontario. In addition, Premier McGuinty has been receiving email messages from workers across the province with the same message.
