These submissions made by the Workers’ Action Centre (WAC) and Parkdale Community Legal Services (PCLS) provide recommendations on the following issues with the purpose of strengthening protections for non-unionized workers under the Canada Labour Code:
- Assessing sectoral bargaining processes;
- Strengthening protections against misclassification and wage theft;
- Sustaining the Wage Earner Protection Program (WEPP); and
- Other potential changes to the Code that could strengthen supports for workers.
