A worker has three main options to choose from to make a legal claim against their boss:
- Filing a claim at the Ontario Ministry of Labour
- Going to Small Claims Court
- Going to Superior Court
WAC’s latest factsheet in the Know Your Rights series – Court or the Ministry of Labour – provides a basic overview of these options, the pros and cons for workers to consider, and contact information to learn more. This factsheet will soon be available in Tamil, Spanish and Simplified Chinese.
All of our factsheets and booklets are available free on-line for viewing, downloading and printing. Visit our Know Your Rights webpage to get copies to distribute in your community.
