Canada’s immigration system is not fair. Many Workers’ Action Centre members experience it daily through workplace exploitation, lack of affordable housing, and denial of basic public services like healthcare. That’s why we will be at the Toronto Rally & March for Status for All this Sunday September 17 at 2 pm at Yonge and Bloor. We will join forces with thousands of migrants, workers and our allies who believe in equal rights for all.
For years, migrants across Canada have been doing amazing organizing to show that only permanent resident status can stop the exploitation from bad bosses. This did not go unnoticed by Prime Minister Trudeau, who in December 2021 told his Minister of Immigration to ensure that undocumented people, migrant students, and workers in Canada are able to gain permanent residency status.
But twenty months after making his promise, Trudeau’s government still has not announced a regularization program for permanent resident status for undocumented people. That’s why this weekend, there are actions in 16 cities across the country demanding our government stop delaying justice for migrants. Will you join an action near you?
I will join an action this weekend
I will email the Prime Minister for Status for All

Migrants have been in the fight for decent work for all of us. All workers need to fight for permanent #StatusForAll and the equal rights that come along with it. We are making history. Now it’s time for Trudeau to be on the right side of history.
This is an event you don’t want to miss. See you on the streets!
