Organizing for Decent Work

October 30, 2024

Our voices are stronger together. Change will not happen if you take on your problems by yourself, one by one. If you want better working conditions, you need to join other workers to address the roots of the problems we all face and the weak laws that allow racism and poverty to affect our lives and our workplaces. The first step is to know your rights!

To get started, explore the articles and fact sheets below.

Two great ways to join the movement:

Send a Letter to the Premier to Stop Wage Theft
Take the Problems At Work Survey

Start with these workers’ rights updates:

Why the Working for Workers Five Act does not work
Ontario’s minimum wage is going up on October 1
Ontario’s new temp agency and recruiter laws
How to enforce your rights now that we’ve won $16.55
WAC Launches Survey to Better Understand Workers’ Experiences of Wage Theft
Make sure you get your public holiday pay
10 paid sick days for workers covered by federal labour laws
