Join the Ontario Day of Action on Saturday June 3 to show the Ontario government that we are united in our demands for decent work and wages, rent control, affordable groceries, strong quality education and public healthcare. Workers, our families and communities have had enough of rising prices, low wages, and the Ford government’s refusal to implement basic protections like 10 permanent paid sick days. Sign up today to join in the action on June 3 at 12:00 PM at Nathan Phillips Square (100 Queen St W, Toronto) or another action near you.

Send an email or make a call for Status For All.
Workers’ Action Centre members have been out in our neighbourhoods, speaking with people who are excited to join the movement and say, “Enough is Enough!” Now is the time to organize together to win all that we need and deserve. Leading up to the rally, you can join a Justice for Workers outreach in your area or put up some posters with a friend.
At the same time, the federal government is still deciding on a regularization program that could give permanent resident status to half a million undocumented people. This could make a huge difference for many of our members who have been bravely fighting against wage theft, discrimination and other workplace violations faced every day.
This weekend, please send an email to your Member of Parliament (MP) and Prime Minister Trudeau and make a call for status – ask a friend to do the same. Trudeau promised a regularization program in December 2021; now let’s urge his government to make sure it is uncapped and offers permanent residency to all, not just temporary permits for a few. If you can, print an attention-grabbing poster to put up at your MP’s office to make sure our message gets to Ottawa before the ministers go on vacation (find your local MP). Now’s the time to be bold and be unified.
