It was over two years ago when Isabelle realized she and her co-workers were not being paid in full. When Isabelle blew the whistle on Mankind Grooming, a Toronto hair salon, she was fired. No worker deserves this injustice.
When Isabelle Faure and Nia Scarcelli filed complaints back in 2018, the Ministry of Labour investigated and ordered Mankind to pay Isabelle $4952.99 and Nia $4036.87 in wages.

It’s been 16 months since those Orders were issued, but the Ministry of Labour has not been able to get this employer to pay! Even when the Toronto Star published an article last November exposing their failure to pay, Mankind still did not pay!
Today, Isabelle and Nia continue the fight to recover thousands of dollars in unpaid wages. Will you show them love this Valentine’s Day by telling Mankind that it’s time to pay up?
Last month, the Workers’ Action Centre embraced Isabelle and Nia’s fight. We supported them in sending a delegation to demand their wages. Within five days, Mankind finally paid out $3,000.
But that’s only one-third of their missing wages. We won’t stand by as employers refuse to pay what they legally owe workers. We need your help to win full justice for these two workers!
This Valentine’s Day, let’s make sure that love is in the air and surging through our phone lines. Take a few minutes to call Anka Miron, the owner of Mankind Grooming, to demand justice. Get your loved ones to give the boss a call, too, at 416-551-1113.
Let’s show Mankind that they can’t get away with wage theft.
