The 25 in 5 campaign is a poverty reduction plan used to reduce poverty by 25% in 5 years and 50% in 10 years. “A 25 in 5 plan would lift more than 400,000 Ontarians out of poverty in just five years.”

Campaign 2000 is a cross-Canada public education movement to build Canadian awareness and support for the 1989 all-party House of Commons resolution to end child poverty in Canada by the year 2000. Campaign 2000 is involved in public and government consultations around the issue of child and family poverty and government policy, and lobbies all parties in both federal and provincial governments for improved social policies relating to the national child benefit, social housing, child care, labour market supports, community services and other relevant policy areas.

No One Is Illegal (Toronto) is a group of immigrants, refugees and allies who fight for the rights of all migrants to live with dignity and respect. We believe that granting citizenship to a privileged few is part of a racist immigration and border policies designed to exploit and marginalize migrants. We work to oppose these policies, as well as the international economic policies that create the conditions of poverty and war that force migration. At the same time, it is part of our ongoing work to support and build alliances with Indigenous peoples in their fight against colonialism, displacement and the ongoing occupation of their land.
